The Great Great grandson David Canterford of one of the clubs founding fathers George Lewis visited the club recently and presented us with a silver cradle for a bowl that was originally presented to George Lewis in 1871 by members of the club for service as club secretary. George and his son Edward who was club champion 6 times and served on RVBA committees as a selector amongst other tasks have a number of items in the trophy cabinet linked to them. A silver cake tray was also given to the club by David. This was presented to George by the club to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary. The board thanks David for presenting us with items that go all the way back to the founding of the club. It is truly appreciated.
We now have street art contribution to the Windsor street art scene. On Friday respected street artists Mikeyxxi and LuckyLucks ably assisted by Starsky on backgrounds created the scene facing the walkway coming from Windsor railway station. Great work Guys.
Good to see Eric back up and about again around the club on Tuesday (25/7) along with his brother Alan down from Sydney for a few days. If you can’t catch up with him before he will be at the Christmas in July and Trivia night on Saturday along with about 90 others.
